Brocksiepen is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Arnsberg in Germany .
Location and description
Brocksiepen is located 360 meters above sea level in southern Halver on the edge of the Bommert forest area. The place can be reached via a driveway that branches off from Kreisstraße 3 between Schlade and Schanzmannsmühle . Neighboring towns are Engstfeld , Wöste , Auf dem Heede , Schlachtenrade , Bommert , Ober- and Niederbommert .
West of Brocksiepen rises at 380 m above sea level. NHN a hill. The Brocksiepen brook of the same name rises in the village and drains over the Blankenbach into the nearby Kerspe dam in the south .

Brocksiepen was first mentioned in a document in 1481, but the time of origin of the settlement is presumed to be between 1300 and 1400 following the second medieval clearing period. Brocksiepen was probably a split from Engstfeld.
In 1818 four residents lived in the village. In 1838 Brocksiepen belonged to the Bommerter peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place, which was categorized as a courtyard according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , had two residential buildings and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 13 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of 22 inhabitants who lived in two houses.
