Oberbolsenbach is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Oberbolsenbach is located south of Halver's main town on the Bolsenbach , a tributary of the Ennepe . Neighboring towns are the main town, Niederbolsenbach , Oesterberg and Kreuzweg . The place can be reached from a branch road from the district road 37 between the main town of Halveran and stop .
East of Oberbolsenbach is the route of the disused Wuppertal Railway , which has been converted into a cycle and footpath here.
history
Oberbolsenbach was first mentioned in a document in 1480, but the time of origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 900 and 1050 as a result of the Franconian - Carolingian settlement construction.
In 1818 five residents lived in the village. According to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , Oberbolsenbach was categorized under the name Obern Bolsenbach as Kotten and in 1838 had a population of 9, all of whom were Protestant. The place belonged to the Lausberger peasantry within the mayor's office Halver and owned a house and an agricultural building.
The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of 25 inhabitants who lived in three houses.
