Schlemme is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Schlemme is located in the southeast of Halver at 350 meters above sea ​​level above the Schlemme stream of the same name , a tributary of the Volme . The place can be reached via a side road that branches off the state road L528 between Neuenherweg and Burg and also connects Collenberg , Stichterweide and Sticht . Other neighboring towns are Im Wiebusch , Sticht, Stichterweide, Halloh , Grund and the Herweger Schleifkotten . To the south of the village, the Schlemmerberg rises 408.2 meters above sea level .

The section of the Wuppertal Railway operated by Schleifkottenbahn GmbH runs north .

history

Schlemme was first mentioned in a document in 1863. The settlement, which was probably built around 1850, was a split from the Sticht court.
