Grund is a district of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Grund is east of the main town of Halveran at 335 m above sea level. NHN in the valley of Schlemme . The place is located on a side street that branches off from Landesstraße 892 at Schröders Herweg and Ehringhausen and also connects Im Wiebusch and the Herweger Schleifkotten . Other neighboring towns are Mittelherweg , Schlemme , Schmidtsiepen , Stichterweide and Sticht .
The section of the Wuppertalbahn operated by Schleifkottenbahn GmbH runs through the village .
history
Grund was first mentioned in a document in 1732, the time of origin of the settlement is believed to be between 1705 and 1725.
In 1818 five residents lived in the village. In 1838 Grund belonged to the Ehringhauser peasantry within the Halver mayor's office . The place categorized as Kotten according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a house and a factory or mill at that time. At that time, four people lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
