Niederplanken was a court in the town of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). The living space fell in disaster in 1911.

Location and description

Niederplanken was at an altitude of 380  m above sea level. NHN in western Halver west of Hohenplanken on the city limits of Wipperfürth . Other neighboring towns were Auf der Bever , Büchenbaum , Auf den Eicken , Stöcken and the Wipperfürth town of Kahlenberg .

history

Niederplanken was first mentioned in a document in 1550, but the time of origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 1400 and 1500 as a result of the late medieval expansion period. The courtyard was a split from the Dornbach or Hohenplanken courtyards .

In 1818 eight residents lived in the village. In 1838 Niederplanken belonged to the Eickhöfer peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place categorized as Kotten according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a house, a factory or mill and two agricultural buildings at that time. At that time there were seven people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The community encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of seven residents who lived in a residential building.
