Beiserohl is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Beiserohl is located at 346 meters above sea ​​level north-west of Halver's main town on the Schmalenbach , a tributary of the Löhbach , which in turn is a tributary of the Ennepe . The place can be reached via secondary roads that branch off from the federal road 229 or the state road 528 and connect other neighboring towns. These are the near Beisen , Brenscheid , Löhrmühle , Eversberge and Auf den Kuhlen . To the north the terrain rises to the 401 meter high Brenscheider Berg.

Beiserohl was first mentioned in 1635, the time of origin of the settlement is probably only a little older and is dated to 1600. Beiserohl was a split from the Beisen court .

In 1818 five residents lived in the village. According to the locality and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , Beiserohl was categorized under the name Beiser Ohl as Kotten and in 1838 had a population of eleven, all of whom were Protestant. The place belonged to the Eickhöfener peasantry within the mayor's office Halver and owned a house.

The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of twelve inhabitants who lived in two houses.
