Location of Hagebuchen in Halver

Hagebuchen is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Hagebuchen is located south of the main town in Halver at 410 meters above sea level on the edge of the Bommert forest area . The neighboring towns are Hagebücherhöh , Wilhelmshöh , Wegerhof , Auf der Mark and Schulten Hedfeld .

The place can be reached via a side road that branches off the state road L284 at Hagebücherhöh and connects the villages in southern Halver. The Hagebuchener Siepen , a tributary of the Schultenhedfelder Bach, rises in Hagebuchen .

To the west of the village is the former Ennepe mine .

history

Hagebuchen was first mentioned in a document in 1552, but the origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 1300 and 1400 following the second medieval clearing period. Hagebuchen is probably a split from Burg .

In 1818 ten residents lived in the village. In 1838 Hagebuchen belonged to the Bommerter peasantry within the Halver mayor . The place, which was categorized as a courtyard according to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , had three houses, two factories or mills and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 13 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of 16 inhabitants who lived in three houses.

An old road from Cologne via Wipperfürth , Halver, Lüdenscheid , Werdohl and Arnsberg to Soest , a medieval (according to other views, early historical ) trade , pilgrimage and military route , ran north of Hagebuechen on the route of today's state road L284 . For this reason there are bundles of ravines and land weirs blocking the path to the north-west of Hagebuchen in the Bommert forest area .
