Grünenbaum is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Grünenbaum is located 400 meters above sea ​​level in northern Halver on the L528 state road on the watershed between the river systems of the Volme and Ennepe . To the north of the village rises an elevation at 405.3 meters above sea level, the Bosseler Bach , a tributary of the Ennepetalsperre , flows past in its upper reaches. The Logrötker Bach , a tributary of the Glörtalsperre, rises to the north .

history

Grünenbaum was first mentioned in a document in 1785, the time of origin of the settlement is believed to be between 1700 and 1750. Grünenbaum is a split from Glörfeld.

In 1818 four people lived in Grünenbaum. According to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , the place was categorized as Achergut and in 1838 had a population of 17, all of whom were Protestant. At that time, the place belonged to the Kamscheider peasantry within the mayor's office of Halver and owned two houses and two agricultural buildings.
