The Schanzmannsmühle , also called Schultenhedfelder Mühle , is a former, listed mill and a district of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The Schanzmannsmühle is located in the village of Giersiepen at an altitude of 341 meters above sea ​​level on the K3 district road in southern Halver near the city limits of Kierspe . Other neighboring towns are Oberbommert , Bommert , Niederhedfeld , Hinterhedfeld and Schulten Hedfeld .

The Kerspe dam is located south of the mill . The Schultenhedfelder Bach (also called Hemecke), a tributary of the dam, was dammed in a reservoir to use water power.
