The Herweger Schleifkotten is a former Schleifkotten and a district of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The Herweger Schleifkotten and the other buildings belonging to the settlement today are located east of the main town of Halveran at 330  m above sea level. NHN in the valley of Schlemme . The place is located on a side street that branches off the road 892 at Schröders Herweg and Ehringhausen and also connects Im Wiebusch and Grund . Other neighboring towns are Mittelherweg , Schlemme , Schmidtsiepen , Stichterweide and Sticht .

The section of the Wuppertalbahn operated by Schleifkottenbahn GmbH runs through the village . Ehringausen station on the railway line was also on the eastern edge of the town. The Schleifkottenbahn got its name from the Herweger Schleifkotten.

history

The Herweger Schleifkotten was built in 1818 as a split from Niederherweg .

1838, the town belonged as grinding cottas of Ehringshäuser Hauser peasantry within the mayoralty Halver on. The place categorized as Kotten according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a house and an agricultural building at that time. At that time there were five residents living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The community encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of five residents who lived in a residential building.
