Niederbommert is a court in Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Arnsberg in Germany .

Location and description

Niederbommert lies at an altitude of 360 meters above sea ​​level in southern Halver on the city limits of Kierspe . South of the village rises at 383.2  m above sea level. NHN the Mühlenberg, behind it lies the Kerspe dam . The Erlenbach flows past between Niederbommert and the neighboring Borkshof , a tributary of the dam. Niederbommert was first mentioned in a document in 1480, but the origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 900 and 1050 as a result of the Franconian - Carolingian settlement construction.

In 1818 there were 25 people living in the village. In 1838 Niederbommert belonged as Niedern-Bommert to the Bommerter peasantry within the Halver mayor .
