The Dahlhauser Schleifkotten was a water engine ( Schleifkotten ) and at the same time a place to live in the town of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). Around 1935 the sanding dome was removed and fell into desolation.

Location and description

The Dahlhauser Schleifkotten was at an altitude of approx. 300  m above sea level. NHN in the southeast of Halver in the valley of the Schlemme on the city limits of Kierspe . To the south rises at 399.7  m above sea level. NHN the Dahlhauser head . The place is located on the section of the Wuppertal Railway on which Schleifkottenbahn GmbH operates .

The place can be reached via a driveway from the larger district of Ehringhausen , which also connects Dahlhausen , Halloh . Other neighboring towns are Oberbrügge and the Herweger Schleifkotten .

history

The Dahlhauser Schleifkotten was built before 1840 as a bone mill and was a split from the Dahlhausen court.

In 1838 the Dahlhauser Schleifkotten belonged as the Dahlhauser Schleifmühle to the Ehringhauser peasantry within the mayor's office of Halver . The place categorized as a farm according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had two factories or mills at that time. At that time there were seven people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
