Location of Oberennepe in Halver

Oberennepe was a court in the town of Halver in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). The living space fell in disaster in 1929.

Location and description

Oberennepe was at an altitude of 351  m above sea level. NHN in the west of Halver, northeast of Nonnenennepe near the federal road 229 . Other neighboring towns were Niederennepe , Löhrmühle , Eschen , Büchen , Schmalenbach and Büchermühle .

The river Ennepe flows a bit to the west of the desert.

history

Oberennepe was first mentioned in a document in 1757, but the time of origin of the settlement is assumed to be between 1400 and 1500 in the wake of the late medieval expansion period. The courtyard was a split off from the Nonnenennepe courtyard.

In 1818 four residents lived in the village. In 1838 Oberennepe belonged to the Eickhöfer peasantry within the Halver mayor . The sound of Ortschafts- and removal table of the governmental district Arnsberg as Ackergut categorized place had at this time a house and three farm buildings. At that time there were seven people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Westphalia from 1887 gives a number of eight residents who lived in two houses.
