Koupě , until 1924 Koupí (German Kaupy , 1939–45: purchase ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 20 kilometers southwest of Příbram and belongs to the Okres Příbram .
geography
Koupě is located in the southern foothills of the Brdy by the Dražská Koupě pond. In the northwest rises the Špalková hora (619 m), behind it lies the Stráž (637 m). To the east lies the Drahenický vrch (615 m). To the west, the town is bypassed by the railway line from Březnice to Blatná , where the Slavětín u Březnice railway station is one kilometer from Koupě .
Neighboring towns are Hudčice in the north, Drahenice and Hradčany in the east, Draheničky and Uzeničky in the southeast, Podruhlí , Na Hůrce and Chaloupky in the south, Bělčice in the southwest and Slavětín in the northwest.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1367.
In 1840 Kaupy consisted of 55 houses with 421 inhabitants. In the village there was a farm, a sheep farm and an emphyteutized inn. To the west of the village was Wegfuk ( Výfuk ). The parish was Bieltschitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Kaupy remained subject to the Březnitz rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Koupí / Kaupy 1850 with the hamlet Slavětín a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Breznitz. Since 1868 the municipality has belonged to the Blatná district. In the course of the abolition of the Okres Blatná, Koupě was assigned to the Okres Příbram in 1960. In 1964 Slavětín was transferred to Hudčice. On January 1, 1980, it was incorporated into Volenice . At the beginning of 1993, Koupě broke away from Volenice and formed its own community.
