history

The first written mention of Občov took place on June 16, 1357 in a lawsuit by the Pičín pleban Jakub against the prior Nicholas of the Augustinian monastery Ostrov near Zaječov , who had bought the farm and the village two years earlier, because of the tithe he was entitled to. The dispute was finally settled on November 19, 1372. In the 1430s, Zdeněk von Stěžov and Václav von Skrýšov can be traced as the owners of Občov. After both of them died, King Sigismund left the estate to their creditor Jan called Šafář from Kuttenberg in 1437 . On the other hand, both Peter Zmrzlík von Schweißing sued on behalf of Václav von Skrýšov's daughter Anna and Jan von Stěžov and asserted claims to the property. On October 31, 1437, the regional court ruled that no reversal had occurred and awarded Občov to Anna von Skrýšov. Jan von Stěžov did not recognize the decision and was sentenced to imprisonment by the regional court in 1454 at the request of Petr von Leňov, guardian of Anna's children. The next owner was Jan Hrach von Občov, who died on January 5, 1465 without heirs. The Občov estate with the farm, a farm and a pond then fell back to the Bohemian Crown. King George of Podebrady left the estate to the Přibík of Skorotín for faithful service, who attached Občov to his Skorotín estate. Later, Messrs Bechinie von Lazan acquired the Skorotín estate with Občov and added it to their rule Pičín; the point in time can no longer be determined, as the Bohemian land panels were lost in the fire of Prague Castle in 1541 . When on May 5, 1542 Petr Vamberský von Rohatec exchanged his Otmíče estate with Libomyšl and Bavoryně near Karl von Svárov with an additional payment of 400 Czech groschen for the Hluboš estate with the villages of Drahlín , Sádek and Bratkovice as well as the desert ironworks Kmeten farm in Občov listed as an accessory from Hluboš. In the course of the new production of the burned land panels, Wenzel the Elder was Ä. Lazan Bechinie registered on May 5, 1556 as the owner of the fortress Skorotín with the village of Líha including Kmeten farms as well as Kmeten farms in Lhota Německá and the farm Občov with a farm and Kmeten farms. On October 16, 1612, Wenceslaus the Elder's widow sold J. Bechinie von Lazan, Judith Bechinie von Předenice, the festivals and the village Trhové Dušníky with the villages Občov, Líha and Lhota Německá for 27,000 Meißnische shock to Ulrich Bechinie von Lazan and his wife Anna Kokořovcová von Kokořov. After Ulrich Bechinie's death, his widow Anna sold the property to the Prague citizen Johann Werdemann in 1623. He sold the Trhové Dušníky estate two years later to Countess Katharina von Sulz, née Lobkowicz . From their daughter in 1644 Vladislav Chlumčanský from Přestavlk bought the place. According to a list of subjects compiled by Vladislav Chlumčanský of Přestavlk on Štětí in 1651 , Občov was only inhabited by two farmers, a tavern and a Chalupner who was subordinate to Suchodol. Until 1714 the village belonged to the Podbrder district, after which it became part of the Berauner district . From the Chlumčanský Wenceslas de Bossi acquired the Trhové Dušníky rule in 1734 and sold it to the town of Příbram in 1741 .

In 1846 Obtschow or Občow consisted of a total of 22 houses with 186 inhabitants, including six Jewish families. Five houses belonged to the Dobřisch domain . In the village there was an official farm and an inn. The parish was Pitschin . Until the middle of the 19th century Obtschow remained subordinate to the royal silver mining town of Přibram as part of the Příbram villages.

After the abolition of patrimonial Občov formed from 1850 with the districts Líha, Skalka and Suchodol a municipality in the judicial district of Příbram. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Příbram District . In the 1870s the parish was renamed Suchodol. At the end of the 19th century Občov broke away from Suchodol and formed its own community. On April 1, 1976 it was incorporated into Suchodol. Since July 1, 1990 the Občov municipality has existed again.
