history

The first written mention of the village Mokrovraty, which belongs to the Dobřisch domain , was in 1653. The place name, which can be roughly interpreted as returning wetness , is derived from the special climatic conditions at the foot of the Brdy, on whose ridge the winds often turn . A pitch furnace was operated at Mokrovraty . To the southwest of Pouště there was a tin hammer with a hammer pond on the Kocába. After its closure, the Plechhammer mill was operated in its place from 1707. Owners of the rule were the princes of Mansfeld . Until 1714 the village belonged to the Podbrder district, after which it became part of the Berauner district . After Heinrich von Mansfeld's death in 1780, his inheritance fell to his son Joseph Wenzel, who died six weeks later without heirs. The male line died out, and the Dobřisch rule was inherited by Joseph Wenzel's sister Maria Isabella. The name and coat of arms were merged with the family of her husband Franz de Paula Gundaker von Colloredo-Waldsee-Mels to the family Colloredo-Mannsfeld . After Maria Isabella's death in 1794, her son Rudolph Joseph II inherited the property. After the death of the childless Rudolf Joseph II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, the rule fell to his nephew Franz de Paula Gundaccar II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld in 1844 . The original round was extended in the 19th century to the southwest to the road from Dobřisch to Knin .

In 1846 the village of Mokrowrat or Mokry Wrata consisted of 39 houses with 242 inhabitants. A hunter's house and the guard's guard house ( Mokrá Vrata ) were located at the official zoo . The parish was Alt-Knin ( Starý Knín ). Until the middle of the 19th century Mokrowrat remained subordinate to the Dobřisch rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Mokrovraty / Mokrowrat 1850 with the hamlet Pouste a municipality in the judicial district Dobříš. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Příbram District . In 1897, the Dobříš – Praha-Modřany railway began traffic, and a stop was built at the guard. A school was built on the village square in 1900. Pouště became independent after 1910. In the first half of the 20th century, a residential area, today's settlement U zastávky , was built around the breakpoint and the guard . In 1920 the parish was renamed Mokrovrata . In 1932 there were 412 people in Mokrovrata . In 1941 the Blechhammerteich was drained. In 1948 the village was renamed again in Mokrá Vrata . From 1949 Mokrá Vrata belonged to the newly formed Okres Dobříš, after its abolition, the community was again part of the Okres Příbram in 1960. On January 1, 1976 Pouště was incorporated. In the second half of the 20th century, the center of Mokrá Vrata moved from the old village square to the state road II / 114 with the construction of new houses . Since July 1, 1990, the municipality has been called Mokrovraty again .
