Buková u Příbramě , until 1961 Buková , (German Bukowa ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers northeast of the city center of Příbram and belongs to the Okres Příbram .

geography

Buková u Příbramě is located at the southern foot of the Hřebeny ( Brdykamm ) in the Dobříšská pahorkatina ( Dobrischer hill country ). The village is located in the basin of the Bukovský creek, which flows northeast of Buková in the Vackův rybník pond into the Sychrovský creek. To the north is the valley of the Sychrovský potok, to the south the valley of the Kotenčický potok with the ponds Antonín, Pilka and Hluboký rybník. The Hřebeny Nature Park stretches to the north and the Lhotka game reserve to the west. To the north rise the Malý vrch (628 m nm) and the Kuchyňka (636 m nm), in the northeast the Kouty (507 m nm), east the Kamenný vrch (486 m nm), in the southeast the Sedlo (471 m nm), south of the Katov (487 m nm), in the west of the Malý Chlum (591 m nm) and the Lhotka (543 m nm) and northwest of the Holý vrch (632 m nm), the Provazec (639 m nm) and the Písek (691 m) m nm)

The first written mention of Buková was in 1336 as the seat of the Vladiken von Buková. From 1437 Zikmund Manda von Kotenčice, from 1524 Děpold von Lobkowicz , from 1532 Pavel Korka from Korkin, from 1564 Karel Svárovský from Svárov, from 1571 the captain of the New Town Adam Mucha from Buková and then Mr. Bechinie belonged to the following owners of the estate from Lazan . In 1592 Juliane Borowska von Lazan bequeathed her goods Bukowa, Wobecnitz , Deutsch Lhota , Pitschin , Rosowitz and Kotentschitz to her daughter Ludmilla. In 1618 Ferdinand Rudolf von Lazan acquired the Bukowa estate. The Bechinie von Lazan family held the estate until 1705. From 1710, Ferdinand Dubský von Wittenau was the owner of Bukowa. Vilém Boryně ze Lhoty later bought the estate. Between 1751 and 1764, František Boryně ze Lhoty had a baroque chateau built in place of the old fortress. A little later, Kaspar Bora acquired the Bukowa estate, followed by his widow Barbara, née Baron Enis von Atter. In 1787 Joseph Enis von Atter was the owner of Bukowa. In 1809 Pauline von Hohenzollern-Hechingen acquired the estate; from 1810 it belonged to the kk general Ferdinand Ludwig von Wartensleben , who sold Bukowa in 1813 to the Prague wholesaler Sigmund Goldstein. After 1828 his widow Elisabeth Goldstein inherited the estate; she sold it in 1846 to Franz de Paula Gundaccar II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld , who attached it to his rule Dobřisch .

In 1846 the Bukowa and Kotenčic estate comprised a usable area of ​​1735 yoke 1368 square fathoms. The two villages Bukowa and Kotenčic belonged to the estate. The village of Bukowa consisted of 51 houses with 463 inhabitants. In the village there was an aristocratic castle with a garden, an aristocratic yard, an aristocratic sheep farm and a mill. Offside were the layers Wackow ( Vackov ) and Kamený dwur ( Kamenný Dvůr ). The parish was Pitschin . Until the middle of the 19th century, Bukowa remained subject to the Dobřisch rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Buková / Bukowa 1850 with the hamlet Kotenčice a municipality in the judicial district Dobříš. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Příbram District . Kotenčice broke up around 1920 and formed its own municipality. In 1932 there were 423 people living in Buková. At the end of the Second World War, from March 1945, Russian partisans under the command of Captain Olesinský were operating in the woods near the settlement of U Lesa. From 1949 Buková belonged to the newly formed Okres Dobříš, after its abolition the community was again part of the Okres Příbram in 1960. Since 1961, the municipality leads to differentiation from a municipality of the same name (Buková u Rožmitálu pod Třemšínem), which was also assigned to the Okres Příbram in 1960, the name Buková u Příbramě .

Attractions

  • Buková u Příbramě Castle, the three-wing building was built between 1751 and 1764 for František Boryně ze Lhoty. The plans for the construction are attributed to the Pilsen builder Jakob Auguston . From 1846 the castle belonged to the Counts Colloredo-Mannsfeld. In the course of the land reform of 1921, their large estates were divided up and the castle with the remaining Buková property was sold to the Prague bank clerk Jaroslav Münzberger. In 1948 it was nationalized and then served as a retirement home. Since 2008 the castle has belonged to the Arbor vitae Foundation, which was planning to use it as a cultural, residential and training center. However, the reconstruction plans drawn up in 2009 were not implemented. The castle is unused and not open to the public.
