Voznice (German Wosnitz , also Woznitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of Dobříš and belongs to the Okres Příbram .

geography

Voznice is located on the southern slope of the Hřebeny ( Brdykamm ). The village, surrounded by extensive forests, extends on the right side of the Voznický potok to the valley of a nameless tributary. On the northeastern edge of the village is the Velký rybnik pond, and the Komora pond in the south. With the exception of the east, Voznice is surrounded on all sides by the Hřebeny Nature Park. The game reserve Aglaia extends to the southwest. The former military facility Klondajk is located five kilometers northwest of Kytín on Jistevník . The Točná (505 m nm) rises to the north, the Malá svatá hora (482 m nm) and the Zelenský vrch (450 m nm) to the northeast, the Dolní Jezera (395 m nm) to the east, and the Dolní Jezberná (396 m) to the southeast nm), to the south the Horní Jezberná (409 m nm) and the Králova stolice ( Königstuhl , 412 m nm), to the west the Stará Mýta (429 m nm), the Aglaia (491 m nm), the Malinová (507 m nm ) and the Spálený (551 m nm) and northwest of the Hořejší Křemeny (464 m nm). history

The first written mention of Voznice took place in 1788. The village was created by the owner of the Dobřisch domain , Franz de Paula Gundaker von Colloredo-Waldsee-Mels on the Passauer Straße leading through the manorial forests. In 1794 his son Rudolph Joseph II. Colloredo-Mannsfeld inherited the property. After the death of the childless Rudolf Joseph II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, the rule fell to his nephew Franz de Paula Gundaccar II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld in 1844 .

In 1846 the village of Woznitz in the Berauner district consisted of 26 houses with 166 inhabitants. There was a mill in the village. Aside from that lay the single layers Wobora ( Obora ), consisting of an official zoo ( Aglaia ) with a hunter's house and a brewery; the Kodetka hunting lodge and the Jeschowka and Gežowka ( Ježovka ) inn . The parish was Dobřisch . Until the middle of the 19th century, Woznitz remained subject to the Dobřisch rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Voznice / Wosnitz 1850 a district of the city Dobříš in the judicial district Dobříš. From 1868 the village belonged to the Příbram district . In the 1930s and 1940s, Voznice developed into a popular resort for Prague artists, and villas were built on Velký rybník. From 1949 Voznice belonged to the newly formed Okres Dobříš. In 1950 Voznice and Chouzavá broke away from Dobříš and formed the municipality of Voznice. After the Okres Dobříš was abolished, the municipality became part of the Okres Příbram in 1960 .

Voznice is a place for relaxation and a starting point for hiking. Between 2000 and 2009, Voznice hosted open-air rock-punk concerts in spring and summer.

Community structure

The municipality Voznice consists of the districts Chouzavá ( Chousowa ) and Voznice ( Wosnitz ). Basic settlement units are Chouzavá I ( Chousowa I ) and Voznice. The one-layer Ježovka ( Jeschowka ) also belongs to Voznice .

  • Aglaia game reserve, the English park with game reserve, was created in the 19th century to breed deer. It is named after Aglaë von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, née Festetics von Tolna (1840-1897). It is not open to the public.
