history

The first written mention of Rosseyowitz was on June 19, 1305 in a document from King Wenceslas III. , in which the rights of the church in Bydžov and the prebende Žatec were newly regulated. The village thus became subject to the royal Vargač castle. On June 24, 1321, Stefan von Tetín separated part of the hallways of the village as an Emphyteuse and founded a town there that was under the Sychrov feudal court. Around 1390 Rosovice was added to the archbishopric Příbram . Around 1520, part of Rosovice belonged to the Valdek Castle. After the town elevation of Příbram in 1579, Rosovice belonged again entirely to Příbram. Later the city sold Rosovice to Messrs Bechinie von Lazan . Around 1600 the Dobřisch rule acquired the village. In 1611 Emperor Rudolf II pledged the Dobřisch rule to Anna von Fürstenberg , née Lobkowicz . On June 14, 1630, the Bohemian Chamber sold the Dobřisch estate with the attached Heiligfeld estate with the exclusion of red and wild boar hunting to the colonel hunter of the Kingdom of Bohemia, Bruno von Mansfeld and Heldrungen . The next owner from 1644 was Franz Maximilian von Mansfeld . His son Karl Franz Anton von Mansfeld inherited him in 1692 and his son Heinrich from 1717. Until 1714 the village belonged to the Podbrder district, after which it became part of the Berauner district . After Heinrich von Mansfeld's death in 1780, his inheritance fell to his son Joseph Wenzel, who died six weeks later without heirs. The male line died out, and the Dobřisch rule was inherited by Joseph Wenzel's sister Maria Isabella. The name and coat of arms were merged with the family of her husband Franz de Paula Gundaker von Colloredo-Waldsee-Mels to the family Colloredo-Mannsfeld . After Maria Isabella's death in 1794, her son Rudolph Joseph II inherited the property. After the death of the childless Rudolf Joseph II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, the rule fell to his nephew Franz de Paula Gundaccar II von Colloredo-Mannsfeld in 1844 .

In 1846 the village of Rosowitz consisted of 125 houses with 884 inhabitants. The school provided by Pitschin was under the patronage of the community . There was also a mill in the village. 69 houses of the place were parish to Dobřisch and 56 houses to Pitschin. Until the middle of the 19th century, Rosowitz remained subject to the Dobřisch rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Rosovice / Rosowitz 1850 with the districts Holšiny and Sychrov a municipality in the judicial district Dobříš. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Příbram District . In 1869 there were 1024 people in the community. In 1885 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. At the 1910 census, Rosovice had 1119 inhabitants. In 1913 the Church of St. Peter and Paul was built for 13,000 guilders. In 1921 Rosovice consisted of 183 houses in which 1035 people lived. In 1930 there were 207 houses and 1044 inhabitants in Rosovice. In 1932 there were 1209 people living in Rosovice (with Holšiny and Sychrov). In 1936 the Catholic house was built. In 1946 Rosovice was electrified. From 1949 Rosovice belonged to the newly formed Okres Dobříš, after its abolition the community was again part of the Okres Příbram in 1960. In 1950 the community had 827 inhabitants, in 1970 there were 782 and in 1991 only 706.
