Jince (German Jinetz , older also Ginetz , Ginte ) is a stain in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers north of Příbram and belongs to the Okres Příbram .
geography
Jince is located in the water gap of Litavka by the Brdy left side of the river. South of the village is the barracks area of the Brdy military training area, which still exists until December 31, 2015 . Jince is surrounded by several mountains, these are the Plešivec (653 m) in the north, the Písek (690 m) in the east, the Vystrkov (541 m) in the south-west and the Špičák (579 m) in the north-west.
Neighboring towns are Rejkovice in the north, Běštín in the northeast, Běřín in the east, America and Čenkov in the southeast, Dominikální Paseky in the south, Velcí in the southwest, Ohrazenice in the west and Evženov and Křešín in the northwest.
history
Jince was a center of medieval iron mining in the Brdywald. Jince was first mentioned in a document in 1390 in a document from Wenceslas IV about the renovation of an ironworks .
In 1644, the family of the acquired Wratislaw of Mitrowitz on Dírná Jince and had the rule 155 years. The first blast furnace was built in 1646 . The baroque palace was built in the 18th century. The new owner of the Jince estate, Rudolf Graf von Würben , had the charcoal-fired blast furnace Barbara built in 1810, which produced until 1874.
The paleontologist Joachim Barrande investigated the area at the beginning of the 19th century and found trilobites here . A specimen of an Ellipsocephalus hoffi can be found today in the coat of arms of the patch.
Jince has been a market town since 1900. In 1924 an artillery firing range was built in the Brdywald. In 1940, the last blacksmith's shop in Jince stopped working. After the Second World War, this status was not renewed, since October 17, 2006 Jince has been a patch again.
Local division
The Městys Jince consists of the local BERIN ( beer Shin ), Jince ( Jinetz ) Rejkovice ( Rejkowitz ) and Velcí. Basic settlement units are Běřín, Jince and Rejkovice.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Běřín, Jince and Rejkovice.

- Barbora (Barbara) blast furnace, founded in 1810 by Rudolf Graf von Würben, technical monument
- Jince Castle, converted into a brewery in the 19th century, is now in ruins
