The first documentary mention of the place Dušníky belonging to the chapter of St. Egidius in Prague took place in 1268. Originally, the inhabitants lived from agriculture and, after the start of silver mining, also from mining. 1548 the place of royal property and when it became feud of Karlštejn assumed. Because of the great distance between the place and the castle, the meeting of the estates decided to give it to Wenceslaus Bechinie von Lazan in exchange for Zadní Třebaň . Ferdinand I handed the place over to Wenzel Bechinie in 1549 with all rights to freely exercise his rule.

Chapel of St. Trinity

As there was no fortress in Trhové Dušníky, Wenceslaus Bechinie had one built to make the place his seat. At the same time he also had the Chapel of the Holy Trinity built. According to the mandate issued by Emperor Maximilian II on August 6, 1568, prohibiting Jews from staying in the mining towns , Jews were also expelled from Příbram; Trhové Dušníky became one of their places of refuge until 1853. After Ulrich Bechinie's death, his widow Anna sold the property to the Prague citizen Johann Werdemann in 1623. He sold Trhové Dušníky two years later to Countess Katharina von Sulz, née Lobkowicz . From their daughter in 1644 Vladislav Chlumčanský from Přestavlk bought the place. In 1694 the Chlumčanský had the fortress redesigned into a baroque castle. Until 1714 the village belonged to the Podbrder district, after which it became part of the Berauner district . From the Chlumčanský Wenceslas de Bossi bought the estate in 1734 and sold it in 1741 to the town of Příbram , which leased it.

In 1846, the Duschnik-Trhowy estate comprised a usable area of 2179 yoke 1006 square fathoms . The village of Duschnik or Dušnjky Trhowé , also called Dušnjk , consisted of 66 houses with 435 inhabitants, including 13 Jewish families. There was a chapel dedicated to St. Trinity, an official castle with an apartment for officials, an official Meierhof, an official brewery and an inn. Off to one side were an official forester's house, two Zainhammers, a mill and the Skorotin sheep farm. Duschnik was the seat of one of the four Přibram forest districts, which cultivated a forest area of 692 yoke 762 square fathoms. Parish was Přibram . Up to the middle of the 19th century, Duschnik was the official village of the estate and the Příbram villages and was subordinate to the royal silver mining town of Přibram.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Dušníky / Duschnik 1850 with the districts Německá Lhota and OSEC a municipality in the judicial district Příbram. In 1857 566 people lived in the village of Dušníky. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Příbram District . The village has been called Trhové Dušníky since the 1870s . During this time Německá Lhota and Oseč broke away from Trhové Dušníky and formed the municipality of Německá Lhota. In 1920 Trhové Dušníky had 625 inhabitants, in 1932 there were just as many. The castle, left to decay, lay in desolation from 1950 and was demolished in 1973. At the beginning of 1980 Trhové Dušníky was incorporated into Příbram. On November 24, 1990 Trhové Dušníky broke away from Příbram and formed its own community again. In 2007 the village suffered great damage from a flood of the Litavka.
