New Zealand national cricket team in South Africa in the 2000/01 season
The tour of the New Zealand national cricket team to South Africa in the 2000/01 season took place from October 18 to December 8, 2000. The international cricket tour was part of the 2000/01 international cricket season and included three test matches and six ODIs . South Africa won the test series 2-0 and the ODI series 5-0.
prehistory
Both teams previously played at the ICC KnockOut 2000 , which New Zealand won and in which South Africa was eliminated in the semifinals. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1998/99 season in New Zealand .
