Riviere is a French commune with 1,123 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Arras and the canton of Avesnes-le-Comte (until 2015: canton of Beaumetz-lès-Loges ). The inhabitants are called Rivièrois .
geography
Rivière is about eight kilometers southwest of Arras . Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Beaumetz-lès-Loges in the north and northwest, Wailly in the north and northeast, Blairville in the east and southeast, Ransart in the south, Berles-au-Bois in the southwest, Bailleulval in the west and southwest and Basseux in the west.
