Members of 29 fencing clubs in Germany and Austria found the German Fencing Federation on March 7th in Berlin . Willibald Gebhardt is elected first chairman. The inclusion of an Aryan paragraph in the statutes is only rejected by a narrow majority. In order to avoid a split of the fencing federation, this at the second Fechtertag in Dresden is 16 / 17 October in German and Austrian Fechter Bund (DÖFB) renamed. In June the first German fencing championships organized by the DÖFB will be held in Vienna.
