- Nov. 18 : William Heffelfinger is the first player who charge an amount of money an American Football denies game.

- February 14 / March 9 : The Association of German Football Players dissolves after two years. The competing German Football and Cricket Association is the only football association in Germany at the time .
- March 20 : The FV Brandenburg 1892 is founded.
- June 3 : The football club formed in Liverpool in March as a spin-off from Everton FC is registered as Liverpool FC . John McKenna becomes manager of the new club.
- June 8th : The football club Union 92 Berlin is founded.
- July 2nd : The Berlin Thor and football club Britannia 1892 is founded.
- July 25 : The sports club BFC Hertha is founded in Berlin in 1892 .
