- April 14th : The one-day race Milan – Sanremo is held for the first time. The Frenchman Lucien Mazan becomes the first winner.
- June 30th / July 4th / July 7th : 1907 UCI Track World Championships
- July 8 to August 4 : Frenchman Lucien Petit-Breton wins the 1907 Tour de France after his competitor Émile Georget , who borrowed a bike from a spectator, was penalized and downgraded. It is the first tour whose route leads to other countries.
- The Newark Velodrome in New Jersey is built.
Motorsport
- June 10 : In Beijing, five cars start the longest automobile race of all time, the drive from Beijing to Paris . The 12,000 km route leads through the Gobi desert, past Lake Baikal, through Siberia, over the Urals and via Moscow to France.
- August 10 : The first of five cars that started the automobile race from Beijing to Paris reached the French capital after two months. The Italian team around Prince Scipione Borghese is celebrated as the winner. The second vehicle , driven by the Dutchman Charles Goddard , arrives on August 30th , the others fail to reach their destination.
- Prince Albert Wilhelm Heinrich of Prussia donates the touring car competition Prinz-Heinrich-Fahrt , which is held for the first time the following year.
