List of one-club men in association football
A one-club man is a term used to describe a football player who has played his entire professional career with only one club. In the strictest definition, one-club men are rare in football, due to the tendency of (mostly younger) players to move for financial reasons or (mostly older) players to play at a lower level (if the club is relegated, which is the norm in most countries) in order to prolong their careers. One-club men often become club captain at some point in their career.
Players (past or present) must have been at their club for a minimum of ten years in order to be included here. Those players eligible for inclusion in 2009 can be seen here.
