The 234th Division was a major unit of the Prussian army within the German Army in the First World War .

Division of War from May 1, 1918

history

The establishment of the division began on January 2, 1917 in Magdeburg . From the end of March 1917, the large unit intervened in the 2nd Army in the fighting on the Western Front . After the armistice of Compiègne , the German troops evacuated the occupied territories and the division was deployed from November 25 to December 21, 1918 in the border guard between Cologne and Düsseldorf . Then the individual units returned to the garrisons, where demobilization took place.
