The tour of the English cricket team to India in the 1984/85 season took place on 28 November 1984 to 27 January 1985th The international cricket tour was part of the 1984/85 international cricket season and included five tests and five ODIs . England won the Test Series 2–1 and the ODI Series 4–1.

prehistory

India previously played a tour in Pakistan , for England it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in England in the 1982 season .
