The D 2 motorway runs two and a half kilometers west of the village .

Neighboring towns are Jalovisko, Novy Dvur and Moutnice in the north, Těšany and Šitbořice to the northeast, Nikolčice the east, Kurdějov the southeast, Hustopeče , Starovice and Nová Ves to the south, Uherčice in the southwest, Velké Němčice and Boudky the west and Nosislav , Židlochovice and Blučina in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of Crepicz was in 1349 in connection with the brothers Kuneš and Vrš de Crepicz. After numerous changes of ownership among lower aristocratic families, Wilhelm II von Pernstein bought the goods in 1498 and in 1508 added them to the Seelowitz lordship . The lords of Zierotin , who had owned Seelowitz since 1564, exercised religious tolerance. In 1616 Adam von Waldstein acquired the rule. Philipp Ludwig von Sinzendorf bought the property from the Waldsteiners in 1714. In 1740 a school was inaugurated in Křepice. From 1743 Leopold von Dietrichstein was lord of Seelowitz. In 1819 Albert Kasimir von Sachsen-Teschen acquired the rule. Until the middle of the 19th century, Křepice always remained subordinate to Seelowitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Křepice / Kreppitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Auspitz . In 1910 a new school building was built because the old one had become too small. After the district town of Auspitz and the southern neighboring towns were added to the German Reich in 1938 as a result of the Munich Agreement , Křepice was on the German border. The municipality was then assigned to the political district Brno-Land and the judicial district Židlochovice until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, the Okres Hustopeče was restored. After its abolition in 1960, Uherčice belongs to the Okres Břeclav .

The chapel of St. Every year Cyril and Method is the destination of a pilgrimage. There are extensive vineyards in particular south of the village.
