Lesnoje ( Russian Лесное , German  Dwarischken , 1928–1947 Eichenberg , Lithuanian Dvariškiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .

Geographical location

Lesnoje is located on the southern edge of the former Eichwalder forest on the north bank of the Pissa and on a side road (27K-181) that leads from Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) via Priosjornoje (Gerwischkehmen / Gerwen) to Gussew (Gumbinnen) . There is no longer a train connection. Until 1945 the place was a train station on the Insterburg – Kraupischken / Breitenbstein (Ostpr) railway of the Insterburger Kleinbahnen .

history

The village, then called Dwarischken , was incorporated into the then newly established Kummetschen administrative district in 1874, both as an estate district and as a rural community . The municipality, in "District 1931 Karalene was renamed" and in 1938 "District Luisenberg" belonged until 1945 to the district Insterburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia . On October 17, 1928, the manor district was incorporated into the rural community, which has since been renamed "Eichenberg".

In 1945 the place came to the Soviet Union in the wake of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1947 he received the Russian name Lesnoye and was assigned to the village Soviet Krasnopoljanski selski Sowet in Chernyakhovsk Raion at the same time . From 2008 to 2015 Lesnoye belonged to the rural municipality of Svobodnenskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Chernyakhovsk.

Dwarischken resp. Eichenberg was not a church village. The predominantly Protestant population belonged to the parish of the Luther Church in Insterburg (Tschernjachowsk) within the parish of Insterburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Lesnoje is also in the ecclesiastical catchment area of ​​Chernyakhovsk, where a new Evangelical Lutheran parish was established and is also the parish center for the church region of Chernyakhovsk. It is part of the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
