Ligné is a French municipality with 5174 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis , the canton of Nort-sur-Erdre and was the main town (French: chef-lieu ) of the canton of Ligné until 2015 . The residents call themselves Lignéens and Lignéennes .
