This list of places named after Stalin shows places and streets that bear or have carried Joseph Stalin's name. Many public institutions and production facilities were also named after him. The first wave of the personality cult began in the 1920s. For Stalin's 70th birthday in 1949, many places, streets, squares and businesses were named after him. The first settlement with Stalin by Nikita Khrushchev on the XX. The CPSU party congress only resulted in a city being renamed in Bulgaria. The abrupt erasure of the name Stalin came in all socialist states except in Albania only after the XXII. Party congress of the CPSU . In the GDR, the Stalin cult came to an end in November 1961 as a result of a decision by the SED Politburo without any public discussion.

Streets and squares named after Stalin
In particular in the Warsaw Pact countries and in states that were politically oriented towards the Soviet Union, there were many streets and squares that were named in honor of Stalin. All of them have since been given the original name or a new name. In some countries, especially Italy and France, there are street names that are reminiscent of the Battle of Stalingrad .
In Gori , Georgia, the birthplace of Iosseb Bessarionis of Jughashvili , there are still Stalin Avenue ( Georgian სტალინის გამზირი ) and Stalin Square ( , Georgian სტალინის ბაღი ) in the center, around the Josef Stalin Museum .
41.986413 44.113338
There are still 27 streets and squares named after Stalin in the territory of the former USSR (as of 2014).
In Russia, Stalin memorials have been preserved in various places, have since been restored or even added. The new politics glorifies old greatness.
