The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and included three tests and five ODIs . Australia won the Test Series 3-0 and the ODI Series 4-1.

Australia recently played a tour against New Zealand , Pakistan in New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the United Arab Emirates in the 2014/15 season . The test in Brisbane was carried out on this tour as a day-night test.
