Alpine Club Hut
The Zwinglipasshütte 1999 m above sea level. M. is an alpine club hut of the Toggenburg section of the SAC and is located to the south, a few meters below the pass crossing. The hut, which opened in 1970, values a simple concept. On the last Saturday of June, around 5 tons of material are carried from the Chreialp to the hut by around 120 voluntary “ Sherpas from Zwinglipass”. Thanks to these carriers , the use of helicopters can be almost entirely dispensed with. The hut, which was expanded in 1991 and renovated in 2007 and 2010, offers 42 beds in different rooms; there is also a winter room with 8 beds.
