DFB Cup 1987/88
In 1988 , Eintracht Frankfurt won the DFB Cup . The goalkeeper Uli Stein had already won the DFB Cup with Hamburger SV a year earlierand was able to defend the title with Frankfurter Eintracht. The HSV, however,failedin the semifinals against VfL Bochum . In the subsequent European Cup Winners' Cup, the Frankfurters were eliminatedfrom defending champion KV Mechelen when they last played in the quarter-finals.
