English national cricket team in Pakistan for the 2005/06 season

The tour of the English national cricket team to Pakistan in the 2005/06 season took place from November 12 to December 21, 2005. The international cricket tour was part of the 2005/06 international cricket season and included three tests and five ODIs . Pakistan won the Test Series 2–0 and the ODI Series 3–2.

prehistory

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in England in the 2001 season . In addition to the general security situation, the earthquake in Kashmir on October 8th was an occasion to tighten security concepts.

England named their squad on September 19, 2005. Pakistan named their test squad on October 28 and its ODI squad on December 3, 2005.
