Isaac Bloom
Isaac Bloom (born around 1716 in Jamaica , Queens County , New York Province, † April 26, 1803 in Clinton , Dutchess County , New York ) was an American politician. Bloom moved to Dutchess County around 1740. He was Captain of the Minutemen in the Charlotte District of Dutchess County in 1775 , worked as a trader in 1784 and from 1788 to 1792 a member of the New York State Assembly .
Bloom was a delegate to the New York Constituent Assembly in 1801 and a member of the New York Senate from 1800 to 1802 . He was then elected to the 8th US Congress , where he worked from March 4, 1803 until his death in Clinton (New York).
