Albert Henry Bosch (born October 30, 1908 in New York City , † November 21, 2005 in Amityville , New York ) was an American lawyer and politician . Between 1953 and 1960 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Albert Henry Bosch was born in New York City six years before the outbreak of World War I. He attended public schools and then went to St. John's University School of Law , which he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 1933 . He was admitted to the bar in 1938 and then began practicing in his own law firm in New York City. Bosch also received admission to the US Treasury Department and the United States Supreme Court . He also worked as a trustee for the Hamburg Savings Bank in Ridgewood . Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party .

In the congressional elections of 1952 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the fifth constituency of New York , where he succeeded Robert Tripp Ross on January 4, 1953 . He was re-elected three times in a row and served in Congress until his resignation on December 31, 1960 .

Bosch was elected a judge in the Queens District Court on December 31, 1960 , a position he held until September 1, 1962. At that time he was elected judge on the New York Supreme Court for the eleventh judicial district. He held this position until he retired on December 31, 1974. Bosch died on November 21, 2005 in Amityville and was then buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens .
