Robert Joseph Nodar junior (born March 23, 1916 in Brooklyn , New York , † September 11, 1974 in Flushing , New York) was an American lawyer and politician . Between 1947 and 1949 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Robert Joseph Nodar Jr. attended public schools in New York City and graduated from Newtown High School in Elmhurst in 1935 . He then worked as an office clerk ( clerk ) at Manufacturers Trust Co. in New York City from 1935 to 1939 and at Crucible Steel Corp. from 1940 to 1942 . of America . During the Second World War he enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces on March 18, 1942 and served as a master sergeant on January 6, 1946 in the South Pacific until his honorable discharge . Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party .

In the 1946 congressional elections , he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the sixth constituency of New York , where he succeeded James J. Delaney on January 4, 1947 . In 1948 he was defeated in his re-election bid and was eliminated from the after January 3, 1949 Congress of.
