This article covers the games in the European Cup since 1964.

Malmö FF initially had modest results in the European Cup. In the first 9 participations, the end came in the first round. In 1979 the team made it to the finals of the national championship competition .

In the World Cup (club football) Malmö FF went to, as the European Cup winner Nottingham Forest declined to participate. The two games against the representative of the Copa Libertadores , Club Olimpia from Paraguay , ended 0-1 in Malmö and 1-2 in Asunción .
