history

In 1828 Rešica had 83 houses with 550 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 441 inhabitants. Until the Treaty of Trianon , the village belonged to Abaúj-Torna County in the Kingdom of Hungary and like all of the Hungarian-speaking places in this county, Rešica now became part of Czechoslovakia . After the First Vienna Arbitration Award , the municipalities were once again in Hungary from 1938 to 1945.
