history
Early history
Archaeological finds prove that the Rohrdorf region was already settled in prehistoric and early Germanic times. In the years 1922 and 1979, artfully forged bronze swords and knives were found in the Geiging corridor, dating from around 1200 BC. To be dated.
Rohrdorf is mentioned for the first time in a document in 788 in the Notitia Arnonis , a list of all goods and possessions of the Church of Salzburg in ducal Bavarian territory on the occasion of the incorporation of Bavaria into the Frankish empire of Charlemagne . Mentioned in the two unincorporated villages today Höhenmoos and Lauterbach , which at the time also been Kirchdörfer were. The names of places at that time were: Rordorf , Huinmos and Lutrinpah .
In a 924 in Rordorf made out exchange certificate Rihina is that of the family of Luitpoldinger originating former wife of the reigning Salzburg Archbishop Odalberg - a descendant of the family of the Aribonen a third of the church's income in - Selihoba ( Söllhuben ) and Piecinga ( Pietzing awarded) who renounced the Seeon domain and other property. This contract, certified by 72 counts , nobles and free people , was canceled in 927 because the churches concerned were too burdensome. For the extensive exchange of goods during this time, on the one hand, the previous destruction in the Chiemgau by Hungarian invasions was responsible, on the other hand, Rihina's wish to gather her close relatives as close as possible geographically.
