Schosseinoje ( Russian Шоссейное , incorrectly also called Schosseiny , German Szameitkehmen , 1936–1938 Schameitkehmen , 1938–1945 Walkenau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Tschernjachowsk in chernyakhovsky district .

Geographical location

Schosseinoje an der Angrapa (Angerapp) is seven kilometers east of the Rajon town of Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) on the federal road A229 (also Europastraße 28 , former German Reichsstraße 1 ) in the direction of Gussew (Gumbinnen) . At Schosseinoje the regional road 27A-043 (ex R517 ) from the direction of Osjorsk (Darkehmen / Angerapp) meets the A 229.

There is no longer a direct rail connection via the Pendrinnen station (1938–1939 Pendershof , 1939–1945 Pendersdorf ), as was the case before 1945 . The former Szameitkehmen was on March 11, 1874 one of the communities that formed the newly established Kraupischkehmen district (1938–1945 Erdmannsruh , Russian: Salivnoje). In 1945 the place came under Soviet administration as a result of the Second World War . In 1947 he received the Russian name "Schosseinoje" and was assigned at the same time to the village Soviet Krasnopoljanski selski Sowet in the Chernyakhovsk district . From 2008 to 2015 Schosseinoje belonged to the municipal municipality of Chernyakhovskoye gorodskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Chernyakhovsk.
