Talitsa ( Russian Талица ) is a city in Sverdlovsk Oblast ( Russia ) with 16,225 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The city is located in the west of the West Siberian lowlands , about 220 km east of the oblast capital Yekaterinburg on the right bank of the Pyschma , a right tributary of the Tura in the Ob river system .
Taliza is the administrative center of the urban district of the same name .
Talitsa is located 5 km south of the Yekaterinburg - Tyumen railway, which was opened in 1885 (which became part of the northern route of the Trans-Siberian Railway when it continued from Tyumen to Omsk in 1913 ). The Talitsa station is located near the Troitsky settlement , distance km 2028 from Moscow .
history
Taliza was founded in 1732 as a settlement near a vodka distillery and was therefore initially called Sawod Taliza ("Taliza plant"). Later the Siberian tract was brought past. In 1942 the place received city rights.

Culture and sights
There is a dendrological park in Taliza .
The balneological health resort of the same name is located near the city , in which the 26 ° C warm iodine - bromine - medicinal water and sapropel sludge from the nearby lake Majan u. a. Treating digestive disorders.
There is a local museum in the Troitsky settlement.
