Thou is a French municipality with 229 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the canton of Gien (until 2015: canton of Briare ) in the arrondissement of Montargis .
geography
Thou is located about 80 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans in the wine-growing region of the Coteaux du Giennois . Thou is surrounded by the neighboring communities Batilly-en-Puisaye in the north, Faverelles in the east, Annay in the southeast, Neuvy-sur-Loire in the south and Bonny-sur-Loire in the west.
