1st Lig 1983/84

The 1st Lig 1984/85 was the 27th season of the top Turkish league in men's football . It began on August 25, 1984 with the game Beşiktaş Istanbul against Boluspor , which went 2-0 and ended on June 2, 1985. From December 30, 1984 to January 20, 1985 the season was interrupted by the winter break.

First and thus Turkish champion of the season was Fenerbahçe Istanbul and won the 12th championship title in the club's history.

This season, with Antalyaspor and Boluspor, only two teams were relegated , as the championship should be played in the next season with 19th teams.

Attendees

For the 1st Lig 1984/85, the three promoted teams from the last second division season have been added to the 15 clubs that remained from the previous season . The climbers were the three second division champions Eskişehirspor , Malatyaspor and Altay Izmir . While the rise for Malatyaspor meant the first first division participation in the club's history, Eskişehirspor returned with the rise after two years in the 1st Lig. Altay Izmir achieved direct resurgence through the second division championship.
