history

Archaeological finds prove a settlement in the municipal area since the older Neolithic . Blazicze was first mentioned in writing in 1358, when the Schwerin bishop Albrecht von Sternberg and his brother Zdenko exchanged the village, including the mill and the farm, for the Všetuly farmstead, but then immediately bought them back. In 1365 the village was called Blazicz . Raczow was first mentioned in 1398 . The Lords of Sternberg held the Blassicze estate until 1406, the subsequent owners were the Vladiken von Prusy. Raczow probably went out during the Hussite Wars , in 1460 the village and the farm were described as desolate. In the 15th century a phase of numerous changes of ownership began. Other forms of the name were Blazycze (1480) and Blazicze (1494). In 1536 Blazice was attached to the Bystřice manor . In the second half of the 16th century the rule belonged to the Prusinovský von Víckov and at the beginning of the Thirty Years War Václav Bítovský von Bítov, whose goods were confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain in 1621. The next owner was Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel von Lobkowicz . In 1650, Johann von Rottal acquired the Bystřice estate and united it with Holešov to form one large estate. Blazice was largely depopulated by the war. In 1656, 14 of the 35 properties were in desolation, and this situation continued for over twenty years. In 1675 the village was called Blažitze . In 1763 the line of the Counts of Rottal died out in the male line; when the lordship Holešov-Bystřice was divided among the heirs, Blazice was again subject to Bystřice. A parish church was built in Blazice in 1788 with funds from the Religious Fund, to which the villages of Lhota Radkova, Sovadina and Žákovice were parish. At the same time a parish school was set up. In 1789 the Counts della Rovere di Monte l'Abbate followed as the new owners. In 1791 the place consisted of 38 houses. In 1804 Johann Nepomuk Count Wengerský acquired the rule. From 1827 the Bystřice estate belonged to Count Laudon. Until the middle of the 19th century, Blažice always remained subordinate to Bystřice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Blažice / Blasitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority Holleschau . At that time the place had grown to 40 houses. Since 1872 the village has been called Blasice . In 1880 a new school building was inaugurated. In 1890, 335 people lived in the place. The current place name Blazice has been in use since 1893. During the German occupation , several residents took part in the resistance and worked with the paratrooper group Clay-Eva. After the dissolution of the Okres Holešov, the community was assigned to the Okres Kroměříž in 1960. On August 15, 1976 Blazice was incorporated into Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The school was closed in the same year due to insufficient number of students and a kindergarten was set up there. Blazice has been independent again since the beginning of 1993. From the 1995/1996 school year, first and second grades were taught again in Blazice. In 1999 the school closed again and the kindergarten also stopped working.
