Gartenfelder Bridge 03.jpg Gartenfelder Bridge Siemensstadt / Haselhorst The Gartenfelder Brücke leads the Gartenfelder Strasse over the old Berlin-Spandauer Schiffahrtskanal to the Gartenfeld Island . The bridge was built after the construction of the shipping canal in the 1860s. From 1911 the Siemens freight railway and from 1912 the Spandau tram used the bridge. A single-track railway bridge for the freight railway was later built on the west side. Tram traffic over the bridge to Gartenfeld ceased in 1960. The tracks are closed and the remains of the track system are still on the western side of the Gartenfelder Bridge. cards

The elegant and filigree-looking modern reinforced concrete construction by Gerkan, Marg and Partner has five lanes and its design is intended to be reminiscent of the former basket arch bridges of the canal. “The superstructure and abutment form a constructive unit. The connection of the arch fingers to the abutment is articulated ( concrete joints ). ” Main span: 29 m; Length: 34.60 m; Superstructure width: 25.70 m; Superstructure height: 0.65 m. The name of the real new building - there was no previous bridge at this point - was chosen after the Nobel Peace Prize laureate George C. Marshall , the initiator of the Marshall Plan . cards

It serves mainly the access to the light rail from Moab residential area between Alt-Moabit and Spree River. The bridge was built in 1914/15 based on designs by Bruno Möhring and, after being damaged in the Second World War, simply restored. cards

It was built from 1989–1991 as a steel arch bridge with a four-arched superstructure and raised hollow box system and orthotropic plate. The arches lie under the roadway. It leads over the Teltow Canal at kilometer 22.76 of the artificial waterway. Their span is 42 meters and their total length 52 meters; it is 19.5 meters wide. Coming from Mariendorf, Rathausstrasse meets Alarichstrasse north of the Canal in Tempelhof on the bridge. cards

Goerdelerdammbrücke.JPG Goerdelerdammbrücke Charlottenburg-North The Goerdelerdammbrücke connects Saatwinkler Damm (north) with Beusselstraße (south) and leads over the A 100 city motorway . It bears its name in honor of Carl Friedrich Goerdeler (1884–1945), lawyer, national conservative politician and resistance fighter against the Nazi regime.

The bridge was repaired in 2011/2012 by the company Krebs und Kiefer on behalf of the Berlin Senate.

Berlin-Wittenau Gorkistraßenbrücke (5) .jpg Gorkistrasse Bridge Wittenau This girder bridge (road bridge) leads Gorkistraße over the north ditch from Tegel to Wittenau. The district boundary in the Reinickendorf district is on the west bank and the full length of the bridge is in Wittenau. The course of the border requires the western abutment on the Tegel side. The length of the bridge is 24 meters, the width decreases from 48 meters (edge ​​to Tegel) to 28 meters towards Wittenau. Since the 1930s as Dietrich-Eckardt-Straße , Gorkistraße has been two-way from Alt-Tegel to the west (100 meters between the building lines). The existing bridge replaced an 11 meter wide road bridge at the end of the 1960s. When building the bridge, the planning followed the Am Nordgraben street to the southeast. East of the bridge, Gorkistraße in Wittenau is 20 meters wide. The width of the bridge corresponds to the transition from two separate to one lane. This merging begins on the eastern side of the bridge with the central island of the pedestrian crossing. The tram stop was provided with pedestrian underpasses and partially placed under the bridge. A road bridge was added parallel to the railway bridge. and the bridge passage expanded from 23 to 46 meters. The road bridge opened in 1986 is 55.9 m long and 10 m wide. Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge 1906 Grünauer Bridge Koepenick The Grünauer Bridge leads over the Teltow Canal at kilometer 37.720 of the artificial waterway shortly before reaching the Dahme , which is part of the Spree-Oder-Wasserstraße (SOW). It connects Grünauer Strasse in Köpenick with Regattastrasse in Grünau. With the opening of the Teltow Canal in 1906, there was already a steel truss bridge under the name Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke (pictured) at this point.
