The tour of the New Zealand national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 2012/13 season took place from October 30, 2012 to November 29, 2012. Sri Lanka won the ODI series 3–0, while the Test series 1–1 and the Twenty20 series 0–0 ended in a draw.
prehistory
It was the first tour of the season for both teams. At the ICC World Twenty20 2012 , which was held directly before , Sri Lanka won against New Zealand in the Super 8 round, which was then eliminated there and Sri Lanka took second place in the tournament. The last tour of the two teams against each other took place in the 2010 season in the USA . The second and third ODI were originally planned in the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, but they had to be relocated due to persistent rainfall.
